Reinhart Marville Torre strengthens its Competition department with the arrival of Virginie Viallard
Virginie Viallard complements the practice of Alexandre Rios and joins Reinhart Marville Torre within the firm’s Competition department.
For Virginie Viallard, “Joining Reinhart Marville Torre is an obvious choice for me and an exciting adventure. I started my academic and professional career with Alexandre Rios, whom I know well and with whom I share the same values and work methods. Moreover, Reinhart Marville Torre has a very solid foundation, a highly visible competition activity in the market and wanted to expand in view of the growing needs for client support in competition law. The firm, now driven by a new momentum, thus offers a very attractive project. I am very excited about joining this leading dynamic French firm, in which I fully recognize myself and which offers great potential for the development of my activity and that of the team.'”
Virginie is specialized in European and French competition law as well as in economic law. Her expertise covers a wide range of areas, including merger control, foreign investments in France, antitrust practices, distribution and contract law, and restrictive business practices.
After a thesis published in competition law, Virginie began her career in 2006, first at Bredin Prat and then at Darrois Villey Maillot Brochier. In 2012, she became the legal manager of Apple for France. She then joined the Magenta firm in 2013 and then SVLF, which became Viguié Schmidt & Associés, in 2015, where she was appointed as a partner.
The arrival of Virginie alongside Alexandre Rios, who now leads the competition department, helps support the development of this practice at the firm thanks to her strong experience in the banking, energy, media, new technologies, and health sectors.
“The arrival of Virginie is part of the dynamic development of our activity. It is a pleasure for me to welcome Virginie, with whom I started at Darrois. We share the same values of excellence and dedication in defending the interests of our clients,” says Alexandre Rios.
“The arrival of Virginie Viallard is a great opportunity for our firm. The development of our Competition department was inevitable and necessary due to the numerous cases entrusted by our clients. Alexandre finds in Virginie Viallard a significant ally to continue the strong growth of this department,” explains Jean Reinhart, founding partner of the firm.”
