Reinhart Marville Torre advised Otrera New Energy on its €17 million fundraising round, carried out with institutional and industrial investors, including Normandie Participations, Exergon, EDF and Onet.

Otrera New Energy: a French deeptech company spun off from the CEA

Founded in 2024, based in Aix-en-Provence and spun off from the CEA, Otrera New Energy is a French deeptech company specializing in the development of fourth-generation modular nuclear reactors using sodium-cooled fast neutrons.

A fundraising round supporting an ambitious industrial project

This new transaction will enable the company to enter a structuring phase of its development and to prepare the industrial setup of its future production site. Otrera New Energy has notably announced its plan to establish operations near Cherbourg-en-Cotentin, with a facility dedicated to the manufacturing and assembly of critical components for fourth-generation nuclear reactors.
